I have been inspired by fashion and art ever since I can remember and have always needed a creative outlet. I studied visual art, working with several different mediums such as silk-screen printing, sculpture, lighting, stage design and theatre. This filtered into my social life and I worked with personalities on the Brighton club scene, creating looks and experimenting with make-up for the first time in 1997.
I had accidentally chanced upon make-up, and was given my first job with a leading makeup brand, merely on the credit of my artistic background and my work on the Brighton club scene... I woke up to a whole new world. I fell in love with an art form where I could apply all of the various artistic principles and media I had previously worked with, without any limitations or boundaries. The body is the form which can be kneaded, moulded, enhanced, transformed and embellished in infinite ways...
A true passion emerged, inspiring me to teach myself make-up, body-art and hair styling so that I could continue to explore and expand the boundaries of make-up beyond the face. I am excited about creating a whole look, an image and an impact ...through make-up... through the body.
My clients can attest to my fervour for make-up, my dedication to my work, and also (I hope!) to my natural ability to relate to people. I am affable, cosmopolitan and fun and I enjoy getting to know people and bringing their personalities to my work.
My experiences vary from touring on Kanye West's European festival tour, to a regular beauty spot on local radio in the South of England and appearing on national television on 'This Morning' as a make-up expert for a makeover story. I feel truly blessed to have found a medium that inspires and impassions me.
